Refugees are still arriving in Greece. But this year, they have nowhere else to go. Camps and detention ‘hotspots’ on the islands are at bursting point.

On Rhodes, there is an informal camp with more than 100 guests currently living on derelict land in crumbling commercial premises. It’s no place to call home.

More than a quarter of those we support are babies and children.

Working alongside Rhodes’ Municipality, we’re improving the infrastructure and empowering guests who can now plan, shop-for and cook their own meals.

The programme gives positive structure to their day and offers hope in an otherwise desperate situation.

We’re also working alongside UNHCR to improve sanitation in the camp.

It’s a simple idea and it’s working! But we need your help to keep it up.
